Hello beautiful people!
My name is Yolanda and I am a wine enthusiast and wanderlust. I feel the world is meant to be explored. One of the tour guys in Tanzania stated “it is so different here compared to the US. It is a great thing, because the world will be boring and there is no need to explore.” Not one lie told! You will learn so much on your journey and more about yourself.
Quick Glimpse About Me
I am a dreamer. One of my biggest dreams is to travel. Like most people who dream of going on vacation, I wanted to go to Paris. Most of the people in my family never traveled overseas. I’m thinking, what is a way for me to travel or at least get close to it? Military. Well I did explore a little (Lol). I never got the chance to explore living overseas like I had hoped. I did two six months tours overseas and stations in Louisiana and California. While stationed in California, I had a sudden interest in wine.
I eventually got out to focus on school. During that time, I was finally offered a position overseas as a government contractor. I knew then, I would be able to explore the world. This is around the time I took my first trip to Italy (one of my friends was stationed there) and the travel bug really started to itch. I was afraid of traveling solo and waiting on people to travel was getting dreadful. With this contract job, I figure it will make it a little more accessible and be able to save up some money. I did just that! I took my first solo trip to Iceland, traveled with a travel group, and a coworker.
When I finally became a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, I was offered a position to work weekends. I figured this will give me a better chance to travel without using up so much PTO. I also wanted to use this time to share my experience and let people know not to be afraid to take the plunge of solo travel or group traveling with strangers.
What can I do for you?
My goal is to help you achieve your goal, which is to travel and share some of my experience. Throughout this blog I will share some tips to plan your travel, travel safety, how to save for travel, and the things I have learned on my journey. I have learned so much throughout my travels, group traveling, and planning trips for family and friends. If you are a wine lover or want to learn about wine, I will discuss this throughout the blog as well.
Do know the world awaits, but time does not stop for NO ONE!
