Credit Card Company’s
- Capital One – The beauty of this card is you earn two points per dollar you spend with the exception of flights book directly on their website which is five points. This card is best for mid travelers.
- American Express Platinum – I love this card because it has trip protection and offers lounge assess. Not only that it offers $300 dollars off on certain hotels (luxury and mid luxury) that includes breakfast and $100 towards spa or food/drinks.
- Chase sapphire – This care is by far one of the best cards out there based on the value and price. This card offers three points on dining and two points on all travel (Get Your Guide, hotels, and etc.). This card is best for overseas travel.
- Side note – Some places overseas does not accept Amex cards. Capital one or Chase are best cards to have in your wallet.
Flights and Accommodation
- Skyscanner – this website for cheaper flights. In order to get a good price, you book flights from anywhere to everywhere. I used this website to book my trip to Iceland at the last minute.
- Booking.com – this is great if you do not want to put money down. You can usually get a hotel at a good price. Sometimes it offers 10 to 20% discount. After booking hotel reservation, I was able to get transportation from the airport to the hotel via this company
- Priceline.com
- Going – is really nice if you don’t have a practically place or open. You can also save destination of places you want to visit and receive notification of price drops. I purchased my flight to Rome via this app.
Tour Guides
- Get Your Guide – I used this for majority of my trips. This is definitely great for solo travels to be with other people. It is very easy to use and sometimes offer discounts. The tour guide will reach out to you periodically (WhatsApp or email) to make sure you understand the guidelines and itinerary.
